Nearly all mobile networks in the USA and the United Kingdom have 5G services. A lot of 5G phones were launched last year. In this article, we will take a look at all the 5G phones launched in 2019. Read on, if you want to know more about these phones.

Huawei

Huawei is a popular name when it comes to 5G phones; the company has taken a bashing in recent times, mostly due to issues related to the security of high-end device it provides to operate many parts of mobile networks. The most important one is the US trade embargo. That although was not fully implemented, has meant that flagship Huawei’s devices from late 2019 have not had Google apps (or able to be installed) instead depending on its own App gallery. It has already affected the Mate 30 Pro and will affect the forthcoming P40 and P40 Pro. The Mate 30 Pro 4G is now on sale in the UK, but not the 5G version, although the P40 will be launched at the end of March. The 5G version of the 7.2 inch Mate 20 X, nicknamed the "Godzilla of phones", is available now in the UK. And comes with Google apps, it is now available in Three, EE, Vodafone, and Sky Mobile.

LG

In 2019, the majority of flagship 4G phones from LG's was the LG G8, but LG also announced the V50 ThinQ available on Verizon in the US and EE in the United Kingdom. The G-series phones such as the G8 will remain as 4G LTE phones according to LG, while V devices will be 5G as from now. The V50 ThinQ has a 4,000 mAh battery and a liquid cooling chamber to keep everything nice and cool, resulting in 40 percent more heat dissipation than the previous model. It is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 platform.

Motorola

The Motorola Moto Z3 and Z4 have a 5G mod and are now available in the United State as a Verizon exclusive. Although it is not as impressive as some of the other 5G phones we have seen, but it was the first decent stab on the 5G device. Motorola has said it will launch more 5G phones in 2020 at the flagship end and will use Qualcomm Snapdragon chips. We expect more news about this very soon.

Oneplus

The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is now available on EE in the United Kingdom and Sprint in the United State. (The Standard 4G One plus 7 Pro is available on other U.S. networks.) Also, it runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. Interestingly, One Plus says that although it resembles the standard OnePlus 7 Pro, it has had to do a lot of work internally to get the correct cooling and antenna array, so it is totally different from Standard Pro in this regard.

OPPO

OPPO launched its 5G phone a year ago. The phone that emerged is the Oppo Reno 5G which is based on Reno 10x Zoom and is available on EE in the UK. The 6.6-inch phone is based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 platform and has an edge-to-edge OLED screen with pop-up sharks fin front camera with a triple rear camera with10x hybrid zooms. Also, Oppo's forthcoming next flagship phone, the Find X2 will be based around Snapdragon 865 and will definitely be a 5G phone.

Xiaomi

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 platform and has a 6.39-inch FHD + AMOLED display. However, the key to its design is a sliding mechanism, which means that there is no front camera that interrupts the main front screen. It was released in the United Kingdom with Vodafone, Three, and O2. The price is cheaper than many 5G phones, which makes it an excellent starting point if you want to try a high-speed connection.

Samsung

When it comes to 5G phones, Samsung wants to be the leader. It now has seven on the market. The new Samsung S20 range includes three 5G phones (including the S20 4G which is also available in the UK but not in the U.S.).There is a 6.2-inch S20 5G, 6.7-inch S20 + 5G and the range-topping S20 Ultra which comes with a unique camera setup has with a 100X zoom.

The cheapest among them is Samsung’s A90 5G which has a 6.7-inch screen like the S10 5G but comes with a much cheaper price than other options offering by Samsung. The Galaxy S10 5G was launched a year ago and is available in O2, EE, Three and Vodafone in the UK. And AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint in the US. There is also Note 10+ 5G available from Vodafone, Three, O2 and EE in the United Kingdom and Verizon in the USA. This phone comes complete with the well-known S-Pen stylus.
